We haven’t made a blog post in a little while so I thought for this one I would share where Jouzt is at and some wicked things coming next.

We’re in a really interesting and exciting place at the moment. Jouzt is gaining new users every day and we’re so happy to see not only the awesome art and posts from everyone, but the incredible sense of community that exists on both the platform and the supporting Discord.
Our awesome team have been staying up late and working weekends, spending loads of time figuring out the best ways to make the Jouzt show even better.
We recently asked you guys to tell us how you feel about a proposed new “Jouzting” mechanic, and it was very well received. We realised that while the current way “Jouzts” work is quite good and doesn’t exist anywhere else, it is also underutilised, likely due to the inherent lag and exposure of the feature: Jouzts require you to wait for entrants, then wait for voting, and eventually they end. Turning “Jouzts” into “Jouzting” we believe keeps what is good about Jouzts while making it more dynamic.
When the time comes, we will talk about it more, but “Jouzting” should be more engaging, reciprocal and hopefully fun! We can see this new action being used for DTIYS prompts (Jouzt me with yours!), “Draw my OC” requests, Engaging with others by Jouzting them, competitions, battles, collabs, games and more.
This is one of a few features we’re likely to add in the near future. But here are some other ideas we are strongly considering and/or definitely dropping soon:
👉 “Quests” – an easier way to track your cosmetic unlocks
👉 Updated UI for feed, including filters – we want to give you control over what you see, rather than using algorithms or AI to decidewhat you see.
👉 Useful UI changes to make things even cleaner and easier to use. This includes improvements to chat, explore page and more.
👉 Trinkets – this is something interesting we’ve been cooking up but I’ll keep it a bit mysterious for now until it’s more locked in. These will potentially allow you to highlight your chosen media/images/characters/moments and links on your profile, while also giving you more ways to use your unlocked cosmetics. We may be asking for your feedback soon about this 🙂
